About Us

This is my story and how I became a pet groomer and my experience.

My name is Cameron White. I am Passionate about animals and have made it my career to Help pets in any way I can. I started out as a Pet stylist, but I have grown into an all in one pet stop for pet parents. My goal is to be the person pet parents can go to for pet care and advice to make sure all of our pets have the best lives possible.

My Story

After working at a Zoo for a year I applied to work at a local corporate pet store. Thinking I would be cleaning, feeding, and taking care of smaller pets and stocking shelves. The manager offered me a job as a dog bather. To be honest I had no idea that it was even a job. So I started out bathing dogs. I got sent to the Academy through this company faster than anyone at that salon had ever known. I completed the Academy at the top of my class. The first dog I ever groomed on my own was a Golden doodle. I worked under an experienced groomer at a corporate for two years. I then left and began working at a vet clinic as a groomer. There I got to work with the vets to provide essential grooming services to pets in need. While I enjoyed learning from an experienced vet about what dogs need with certain conditions and how to recognize common health issues in pets, My heart could not take the sadness of loosing so many elderly and other pets in bad health. I give all the props to vet groomers and especially the vets themselves. We all love the animals and we want to be part of a community of people that can help them, and it hurts our hearts when one crosses rainbow bridge after we put our sweat and tears into trying to give them the best life possible.

When I left the vet clinic I traveled across the United States for a few years working with other grooming salon owners that needed temporary groomers to help while their main groomer was away or unable to groom for short periods of time. In my travels I met a NDGAA master groomer. I worked under her for 2 years. I honed my skills with her supervision and expertise. Her salon also offered dog training and she allowed me to take a year-long course under her trainer to be able to train dogs. I also took an animal behavioral class at the same time with a specialty in dogs. I wanted to be able to not only help train dogs but to be able to understand their behavior so I can better work with them to give them the best experience possible while they are in my care. I learned a lot from her and her team of professionals.

It was time for me to start moving back home to Mississippi. I was missing my family and them having kids and getting married etc. So I started making plans to return. I worked at another vets office for a year. There I was taught by another groomer how to groom cats. While I am not a very experienced cat groomer I can groom them safely and provide necessary grooming services for matted and elderly cats that cannot groom themselves. I learned how to handle them and make their grooming process as less stressful as possible as cats are much more prone to stress than dogs are.

I had so many requests from family and friends and their friends to come and groom their pets in their homes that this year (2024) I have decided to start my own House Call Pet Grooming business. While right now I groom inside your home, giving pets  a spa day without leaving home or having to worry about the car ride to the groomers.

I find that pets groomed in their home are much more relaxed than pets that are taken for a  ride in the car and then taken to a new place with new people and other pets barking and causing more stress.

I worked in salons for years, and while a lot of them are fine and usually just nap until pet parents pick them up, there are a large amount of them that are stressed. The ones that are stressed barks and causes all the others to stress out and bark. There is nothing wrong with taking your pup to a salon if that's what works for you and your pets. In fact some pets do better in a salon setting where they can take breaks from being groomed.

I do plan on purchasing a mobile unit to make house call grooming easier for both me and you. Until then I set up in your home. All I require is a space to set up my table with access to an outlet, and a place to bathe them. I bring my own shampoos, conditioners, towels and everything else I will need. I will use your shampoos for them if requested as I understand some pets have medicated shampoos.

I want to provide a great grooming experience to pets to keep them comfortable and happy and also give them those adorable haircuts you want them to have. I want to also share my knowledge with pet parents about grooming and help them learn what their pets need and don't need and how to maintain their pets at home, as I see way too often that breeders will give misinformation or there be  a misunderstanding about their puppies coat and what will be needed to maintain it.

I want to share my knowledge with you. I continue to learn and grow in this field with  learning seminars and workshops.

On this site I have an option to have a virtual consultation. This is to help us get to know each other better and help me understand what your goals are for your pets grooming regimen. I want us on the same page on what you want, what we can do, and how we can get to your goal. I hope it provides comfort getting to know me as a groomer coming into your home to take care of your fur babies.

Since I love to travel I have become USDA certified to transport pets across the USA. It started when I transported pets for friends and family and I loved it so much I wanted to do it more.

My Standard poodle, Castor has had tummy issues since I got him. After trying several different foods I found some that didn't bother his tummy but it was hard to find in stores near me. That is when I went on the hunt for a monthly dog food delivery service that had the food he needed, and I found something even better. I found a holistic pet company that is USA sourced and made. I haven't had any issues with Castors tummy problems since I started using their products so I became a partner with them. Not only does it help me save money on my pets supplies but It gives me something to recommend to clients that I know for a fact works, is USA local (based out of Texas) and its all natural. It's a company that I trust more than any other to be in my pets corner to provide the best options for them.

I have always been the go to person for people with pets, not just cats and dogs either. They are only with us for a short part of our lives but that time is their entire life. They are our best friends, our silent therapists, our motivators, and our fur babies. Always there for us when we need it most. That's why I have made it my goal to do my best to return the favor and Help other pet parents give their pets the best life possible too.
